Course description
This interactive study club combines real patient case studies, home care recommendations that move the needle on health, and table clinic rotations that bring periodontal diagnostics and treatment planning to life.
During the table clinic rotations, you’ll:
See your own live oral microbiome: Tosha will take microscope samples from willing attendees so you can see exactly how simple it is to take a slide and view the oral microbiome in real time.
Explore microbial testing: MicrobeLinkDx will explain how testing can reveal what’s happening beneath the surface and help guide more personalized patient care.
Go behind the scenes of an implant referral: Dr. Deweese will showcase the 3D imaging he uses to plan and place implants, so you can see what happens after you refer a patient to him.
Course description
This interactive study club combines real patient case studies, home care recommendations that move the needle on health, and table clinic rotations that bring periodontal diagnostics and treatment planning to life.
Participants will work through clinical cases and explore practical home care strategies that can better support periodontal and systemic health. During the table clinic rotations, attendees will experience live oral microscopy as Tosha takes samples from willing participants and displays their oral microbiome in real time. This experience is designed to demonstrate the simplicity and potential clinical value of chairside microscopy, not to establish proficiency in microscope use.
MicrobeLinkDx will explain how microbial testing can provide additional insight into a patient’s oral health and help guide more personalized care. Dr. Deweese will showcase the 3D imaging he uses to plan and place implants, giving attendees a behind-the-scenes look at what happens after a patient is referred to him.
Learning objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
Evaluate real patient cases and discuss factors that may influence periodontal risk, treatment recommendations, and long-term outcomes.
Compare patient home care strategies and identify recommendations that can better support periodontal and systemic health.
Describe the basic process of collecting and viewing a live oral microbiome sample after observing chairside microscopy in action.
Explain how microbial testing can provide additional clinical information and support more personalized periodontal care.
Discuss how 3D imaging is used during implant planning and describe what patients can expect after being referred for implant placement.

Dates: 2/13/2026, 6/5/2026, & 9/18/2026
We reserve the right to cancel or postpone an event due to unforeseen circumstances. If Perio Blind Spots Study Club cancels an event, registrants will be offered a full refund.
If an event is postponed, registrants will have the option to either:
Receive a full refund, or
Transfer registration to the same event at the new, future date.
Attendee cancellations and no shows
All ticket sales are non refundable.
If you cannot attend live, you may transfer your ticket to a future Perio Blind Spots event within 2026.
Tickets are not refundable and are not transferable to another person after the event has occurred. If you do not attend (for any reason), you may not transfer your ticket to someone else. Your only option is to use your ticket for a future Perio Blind Spots event within 2026.
Same day substitution option
If you cannot attend and you arrange for someone else to attend in your place on the same event date, you may transfer your ticket to that person only if you notify us at least 24 hours prior to the event. Notifications must be sent to Tosha@Tosh.care.
